
The 2007-2008 Making Waves Literary Arts Magazine, published by the Journalism class, received the coveted silver crown award in the Columbia University Scholastic Press Association contest.
Submitted magazines are scored for their organization, content, and design. Making Waves scored 884 points, compared to 860 points earned last year and was a mere 41 points away from receiving a gold crown award. The magazine scored 140 out of 150 points for organization, 454 out of 500 for content, and 290 out of 350 for design for a total of 884 points.
